Maine - New ABAWD SNAP time-limit period begins October 1
Maine DHHS says that starting October 1, 2026, a new 36-month ABAWD time-limit period begins and runs through September 30, 2029. ABAWD SNAP participants who do not meet work rules or qualify for an exemption may receive only three months of SNAP during the period before losing benefits unless they meet the requirements.
