Ohio - Online and out-of-state SNAP EBT purchases blocked by default starting May 13
Starting May 13, 2026, Ohio SNAP recipients must unlock their EBT cards before making online or out-of-state purchases. The state placed SNAP and Summer EBT cards into a default “block high-risk transaction” status to reduce fraud; in-person purchases at Ohio stores are not affected.
