Nebraska DHHS lists Summer EBT card mailings on August 6, August 13, August 20, August 27, and September 10, 2026, for eligible students and approved applications. The state notes issuance dates are subject to change.
Nebraska’s Summer EBT information page says the 2026 Summer EBT issuance, originally scheduled for April 23, 2026, is delayed until federal funding is received. The page lists an application deadline of August 12, 2026.
Nebraska DHHS announced on July 2, 2026 that, after the June 22 federal court ruling vacating USDA approval of Nebraska’s food restriction waivers, it was working with SNAP retailers to remove restrictions on soda and energy drinks. The agency said many retailers would need time to update systems before restrictions were lifted.
