USDA lists approved SNAP food restriction waivers with current-month implementation dates including Texas on April 1, Florida on April 20, and Colorado on April 30, 2026. The affected purchase rules vary by state.
Colorado says its Healthy Choice Waiver will be implemented statewide on April 30, 2026. SNAP benefits can no longer be used to buy soft drinks and other sweetened beverages covered by the waiver.

Colorado generally follows the standard federal SNAP grocery rules.
USDA lists an approved SNAP Food Restriction Waiver for Colorado with a target implementation date of April 30, 2026. The waiver would restrict purchase of soft drinks.
USDA does not list Colorado as operating the Restaurant Meals Program. Regular SNAP purchases generally cannot be used for restaurant meals unless a temporary disaster hot-food rule is active.
Cold deli food is usually allowed when it is meant to be eaten at home. Hot deli food is usually not allowed.
Check the label. Items with Nutrition Facts may be allowed. Items with Supplement Facts usually are not.
