USDA’s FY 2027 SNAP cost-of-living adjustment updates maximum allotments, income eligibility standards, deductions, and related figures effective October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.
USDA’s updated SNAP staple-food stocking standards require SNAP-authorized retailers to comply with new stocking requirements by November 4, 2026. USDA says the rule changes retailer authorization/stocking requirements, not what SNAP customers may buy.
Connecticut is scheduled to transition EBT SNAP and Cash transaction authorization processing from Conduent to Fidelity Information Services on November 15, 2026. The status notice says the state’s EBT system is expected to be back online before noon that day.

Connecticut generally follows the standard federal SNAP grocery rules.
USDA does not list Connecticut as operating the Restaurant Meals Program. Regular SNAP purchases generally cannot be used for restaurant meals unless a temporary disaster hot-food rule is active.
Cold deli food is usually allowed when it is meant to be eaten at home. Hot deli food is usually not allowed.
Check the label. Items with Nutrition Facts may be allowed. Items with Supplement Facts usually are not.
